A native of Sodus, New York, Lisa Riker earned her B.A. in Math-Physics from Ithaca College and an M.S. in Environmental Studies from Bard College. Lisa began her career in education at the Darrow School, a boarding school in New Lebanon, NY, where she served as math and science teacher, dorm parent, soccer and basketball coach, and Environmental Programs Director. Her tenure in the independent school world includes serving as the chair for both the science and math departments at The Hewitt School in New York, and as math teacher and community service coordinator at Princeton Day School.
Lisa comes to Collegiate in 2015 from York Country Day School in York, Pennsylvania, where she was the Head of Middle and Upper School. Additionally, she volunteered at the YWCA where she was on the Racial Justice Committee and the Race Against Racism planning sub-committee.
In her spare time, Lisa is an avid knitter, quilter, reader and runner. Lisa and her husband, Bob Singerman, live in St. Matthews.
